A small thought-snack for you before I go back into hiding

Who remembers bristle-blocks? I do. Well, I didn't, but now I do. I learned as I was trying to find a picture of them that they are also known as Krinkles. I also learned during my picture-search that they have recalled 2 types of pieces of bristle-blocks that young children might swallow.

I was recently reunited with these blocks that I used to play with as a child. I didn't come across my personal set, but someone else's. Anywho, this whole thing is just leading into an interesting conversation I had.

I don't know about you, but I know that every set of Legos, Bristle-Blocks, K'nex, Lincoln Logs, etc. that our family has ever had has always seemed to whittle down from its original size. Why do pieces of these things always get lost?

I mean, I understand that any time something is played with by young children, its likelihood of getting lost is drastically increased. But here's what baffles me...

You never find these things. It's not like when you were cleaning you suddenly found your lost lego-men or all those little pieces of lincoln logs you need to build walls. They're gone. You don't know where they went. I don't know where they went.

They're gone. I'm convinced that if you travel far enough and search long enough, you will find in some strange region of the netherlands (you know, where Peter Pan hangs out with his gang) a heaping mountain of lost toy pieces. That's where my bristle-blocks are. And some day, when I have less things to attend to, I'm going to go find them.

I have no clue.
we have a nice wooden alphabet puzzle. it's 11 months old and never been outside of the house. And yet, half the pieces are truly gone!

I want bristle blocks. And I'll make it publicly known now that bros old lego set is missing lots of castle walls and pirate fort necessities. It wasn't us.
