Nugget 'o Knowledge

This is what I've learned from the movie, "The Holiday":

If you hang out at someone else's house by yourself for long enough, Mr. Right just shows up at your door.

I want a hug from Adam Brody

Don't you? I saw the movie "In the Land of Women" last night. It was pretty good. Not as happy-feel-good as I had expected, but I think it was worth the time/money.

Yesterday, I drew a picture of a walnut as part of my new endeavor to draw better. If you're lucky, I'll show you my picture of a walnut. A couple of my friends assured me that it really looks like a walnut, but i'm not too sure. We'll see.

Tonight I'm giving the devotional at Institute. I think I came up with something pretty good. It's sort of in response to the tragedy at Virgina Tech, and it kind of pertains to the other horrible things that have happened in the last decade or so (9/11, Oklahoma City Bombing, Columbine, etc.). Anyway, the verses are Moses 7:33-34 I think, maybe it's 32-33 (in the Pearl of Great Price). Either way, it comes off to me as a pretty sad scripture about how we were given agency and how it hurts our Heavenly Father when we don't choose him and instead have hatred for each other.

Anywho, I'm in class right now, so I should probably stop blogging now.

Have any of you seen...

the movie, The Holiday? I kind of love it. Except that Jude Law once again set some seriously unrealistic expectations for how charming a guy is supposed to be. Not that I think the right guy can't be charming, but in this movie he just says so many things that it seems like no guy would know to say in these situations. Anywho, super cute romantic movie. See it.

In the past few weeks, I've been pleasantly surprised by who my real friends are. I can think of a good sized handful of people, like, 10 or more, who have surprised me by being great friends. I don't really have low expectations for people, but it's just a nice surprise when people are there for you who you didn't think would be before. Thanks guys =) I love you.

There are some other things going on in my life that are worth blogging about, but I'm going to sidestep them for the time being. Just know that i'll blog more soon. While you wait, watch this gay dancing spiderman to distract yourself from your worries.

Something worthwhile on TV

Later this month, PBS is putting on a special that takes a look at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It starts April 30th, and I believe its going to be two 2-hour long programs. Check out this address to find out more and see a trailer. It looks like it's going to be good =)

Silly Cognition

I'm sure a pretty simple cognitive mix-up led me to mixing up these two things in my mind to form a new term:

Train Station + Airport = Plane Station
